Hello again from kalamazoo! Have you notice that one of the strategies of making money online is to promote multiple streams of income? When you first look at this proposition, it seems that if you have more then one business or affiliate program, you have multiple options of one of the programs making money for you.
Well lets look a little closer. Most affiliate and all MLM programs require you to pay to play, some money to participate in the MLM business. In my example, let us use say 5 low cost mlm programs. Each of these programs cost a one time cost of $40 to join and $10 per month for your monthly membership or product. Thats 5 X $50= $250 up front and you haven't made a dime.
The on going costs for these 5 programs is $10 per month or $50 per month just to carry the 5 mlm programs. You now have 5 multiple streams of debt because you have not made 1 cent. When you have 5 mlm businesses, you can only devote 20% of your time to each of them so your effectiveness for marketing one program is only 20%.
Now if each of these programs is a 2x15 matrix and you have to sponsor at least 2 people on your front line to make any money. This means you need to sponsor 10 people to qualify for you to get a commission. The network marketing industry average is that the average network marketer only sponsors 1.7 people period.

MLM Scams? -Stop Being The Victim!
Hello again from snowy Michigan. Many networkers are quick to cry mlm scam but are they really a scam or are their some things folk who are new to multi-level marketing don't understand. Really, for you to be successful in online marketing, it takes excellent marketing skills to make excellent money!
When we lack marketing skills, it's easy to be victimized by dishonest folk who are honest 99% of the time but it's the 1% that they won't tell you that can cause you to lose $1000s of your hard earn dollars and precious time because you don't really know the numbers.
I remember about 2 years ago, i joined a company and was on a "heavy hitters" team. I got on all the calls and asked questions and had great passion but i didn't know the numbers. The pay plan was a 4x9 matrix with a one time %10 fast start and paid 4% for each of the level after you had your first 4 on your front line which made allowed you to qualify for the matrix income.
Now notice that the average networker only sponsors about 1.7 people and the life of the average independent distributor is 60- 90 days. I was unable to earn any money because the "law of averages" was against me from the get-go. I could never get the 4 who got 4. The first thought came into my mind was mlm scam.
But you know what? It was no mlm scam but the numbers and the "law of averages" made me a victim. I could have never made money in that mlm unless i had numbers on my side when i joined.(my own downline of 1000s). If someone would have told me that about the numbers, i would have counted the cost. As a online network marketer, make sure you know the numbers and count the cost and avoid becoming a victim!

What happened?Between the initial excitement and the ending discouragement,
something happened.Why does the fire get extinguished so quickly?

The Group Volume requirements are insurmountable.
They come to conclude, "I will NEVER get there.
And they finally give up trying. So they quit.

MLM Troubles?-When My Ship Comes In
Hi, i hope everyone is having a good week and no MLM troubles. I was on the phone this week with a gentlemen named Charlie who was waiting for the super launch of a mlm company that would be the answer to all his money problems. He told me that the owner of the company was a super guy and answered all of his questions.
Charlie invited me on a call but it had been so long that he had misplaced the number. He really didn't believe himself that his "ship" was finally going to come in. He said he had lost thousands of dollars over the years and this was going to be the big one that he had been waiting for. There are many Charlies out their who have MLM troubles because they jump into something brand new or are waiting on a pre-launch of a new and improved mlm company that has a pay plan such that no one can lose.
Well, if you are waiting for someone who is the captain of their ship to get into port to let you get aboard, then you have given up the right to be captain of your ship. It's easy to give others accountability for your life, but you can't complain about the results. Many networkers could save themselves if they remained captain of their ship and personally develop themselves. I think we would find that we wouldn't have to wait on our ship to come in for we always had all we needed, we just had to work on ourselves.

Network Marketing-What Is Success
Hi, james again from sunny Kalamazoo. In my first exposure to network marketing, i thought success was a bag of gold. I really thought success was all about winning. But i have tempered my view to understand that maybe success is like games that kids play. It's got to be fun.
I was caught up about being successful in network marketing at any cost. Stiff upper lip and forge ahead. Running through any barriers that may get in the way. Then i notice something. The very thing that was suppose to give me time freedom had really taken all the "spare" time that i had!
All the fun had gone out of network marketing, i was on a time table to reach a goal. I remember playing baseball as a kid. I think the goal was to win the game but have fun doing it. I suppose since we did win championships and awards but over the years, the memories are not about the trophies we won but about the relationships and fun we had playing the game.
I wonder if we are taking the fun out of network marketing by being so set on winning at any cost. I am thankful i came across a great read by John Fogg " The Greatest Networker in the World". MLM Scams- Are All MLMs Scams?
Hi, james here. I don't know about you but when i mention a mlm company to some of my friends and family, they yell out scam. MLM scams are real enough but all mlms are not scams. An MLM is a multi-level marketing model that pays commisions on the different levels.
A MLM scam has all the money going to the top most position(founder) and those on the other levels usually don't make any money at all but provide new recruits. Usually there is no product or services, just lot of recruiting .
MLMs vary by the compensation plan they use along with policies and procedures. Some compensation plans are so complex that it takes an expert to figure out how you make money.
I suggest if you can't figure out on your own, how you get paid, don't join! Probably the comp plan is loaded with bonus pools, leadership bonuses and such to draw in heavy hitters.
Policy and Procedure contracts are written by the MLM company lawyers to protect and insure the profibility of the MLM company. Many network marketing companies have clauses that require you to be active in order to continue to get your residual income.
Don't jump to conclusions too soon about MLMs. Their are scams but many times we fail to investigate the MLM company and fall victim to the hype. A MLM scam has all the money going to the top most position(founder) and those on the other levels usually don't make any money at all but provide new recruits. Usually there is no product or services, just lot of recruiting .

MLM Business Opportunity - What's In It For Me?
Have you ever really considered an mlm business opportunity and forgot to ask the most important question? That is "whats in it for me"? I had a person try and recruit me into their deal by responding to my ad as someone who is interested in my deal but whose agenda was to pitch their deal.
The person went on to tell me how great a binary pay plan was and how they were in love with their pay plan. Well, this was mind boggling because a binary pay plan usually works good for the "heavy hitters" up above you because if you fail to reach your sales volume requirement, you "flush" your accumulated BV(business volume) to the "heavy hitters" above you. I really needed no education on a binary compensation plan because my first mlm business opportunity was a binary pay plan. We then agreed to check out each other's deal.
Hey, was i suprised when i arrive at their website. I looked to see what was in it for me and couldn't find a thing. Nada...Zilch! There was only a generic "squeeze page" that was designed by a lead company. Wow! Here's the deal...you couldn't find out any info about "what's in it for me" until you answered a generic questionaire about your interest in a home business, how much you wanted to make per month...etc. This was just a "lead harvest capture page" probably used by heavy hitters in a venture partnership with the lead company.
Theres a lot of that going on these days. By the way, if there is no income disclosure form available, usually it's a good sign to procede with caution. Make sure to look at the bottom of the capture page to see who the website is designed by. If the mlm company dosn't own the software, they don't retain rights to the geneology lists. Always keep this question in your mind,

MLM Warning- High Opt-In And Group Volume Requirements
It's been a great week! I hope yours has gone well. This is the season of Network Marketing and new mlms are popping up all over the internet so here is an mlm warning. Beware of mlm companies which have an high opt-in fee and Group Volume requirements.
Here's why. When it cost you over $500 to join the mlm or network marketing opportunity, you are already $500 in the hole and haven't sold a single product or signed up a single individual. The best deal is that it shouldn't cost you a single penney. The high opt-in fee usually gets you a "starter kit" that starts you on your way to more debt! More debt, is not what you are searching for. The rest of the money goes for "fast start bonuses" to your sponsor and the "heavy hitters" that are in your upline. Try and find a situation that dosn't set you up for failure through "high opt-in fees.
The other thing to be aware of is the Group Volume requirements. This is the sales volume that you must accumulate to be elgible for Group Volume bonuses. If you don't have a certain amount of Group Volume by the end of the month you don't get paid.
I wish I have received an MLM warning before i joined my first mlm. I had the pressure of maintaining my personal sales volume at a $150 of product/monthly just to accumulate Group Sales Volume. On top of that, it was a binary pay plan that required me to have a 2/3 to 1/3 ratio on my 2 legs. If you had the Group Volume in your legs that fail short of the quantity or of the ratio, you didn't get paid!
The sad fact of it is that i tried to work this system for 3 years before I figured out! Every year no matter what, I only made money on the products i actully sold. My profit was eat up in my monthly auto-ship of $150 and because my sales came from my personal volume and not a preferred customer, i never really accumulated the right mix of Group Volume to earn the bonuses. I hope someone will read this MLM warning and avoid the mistake that I made.

Visions of dollars were jumping in our heads as we got out the plastic and entered our personal info. Ga-Ching , another sucker. You want targeted prospects to visit your site who are for real! One of the ways people get you "guaranteed" visitors is to use work from home "pay per click" workers. They pay maybe 2 cents per click to the work from home mom or work from home dad. Now lets do the math.
.02x 1000 visits=$20 and your $59-$20 = $39 profit for the vendor. You and i lose because the visitors were not looking for an opportunity but just another click. What's wrong with this picture is the only losers are us.

MLM Troubles- Don't Get Froggy!
James again from rainy Kalamazoo, Mi. I have been looking around the internet for some truth tellers. Many marketers are having MLM troubles and no one is addressing the problem. Many mlmers just get "froggy" hopping from one $10,000 week deal to another.
It's sad and alarming because thousands of dollars are being lost by those who can least afford it. Hi again, hope you had a great weekend! I had an "Aha" moment about the network marketing industry. As i looked back over my past, i saw some critical mistakes that was keeping from moving forward in my network marketing business. I really never thought about the people i that was marketing. I just did what my upline told me without even thinking because i wanted to be a team player. Yes i got mlm rookie of the month and got to speak on training calls but i didn't have a clue about marketing.
There really are 3 types of people that you can market online. You can market to network marketing opportunity buyers, network opportunity recruiters or product consumers, Now if you only have the company's affiliate website without a capture page and your marketing efforts consists of contacting friends and family then sending them to the website, you really are in direct selling and not network marketing. You are 100% commission and you don't even know it.
Just think what would have been your answer to your friend if they would have told you that your mlm business opportunity was 100% commission. You would have looked a little closer and found out that if your monthly auto-ship was $50 and you received 4$ on every sale, you would need 13 recurring sales per month to make $2 profit. If the same product can be bought at your local super market or health store, you will find your customers will soon disappear.
The only way to make the money you want is to leverage other peoples efforts that most new marketers don't have. You need a network in network marketing to make a good income. You need a list of people coming into the business opportunity with you or you have to build your own list. You know doubt have heard that the money is in the list. That is 100% true! When i started out in my first MLM, i was off at a very successful start. When you received an email like this with so many pyschological triggers that you can't normally resist, the best thing to do is nothing. If it's too good to be true, usually it's not! But here is the problem: most MLM businesses fail. Especially when you have a new business, the chance of them surviving 2 years is absolutely under 20%, and probably much lower.In any event, new network marketing businesses have problems. You could commit your all to an MLM, but others won't. As soon as they get shipped a potion that is defective, they'll figure these guys don't know what they're doing, and they'll be out of there. MLM Success- Get A Grip On Yourself
MLM success takes more then targeted leads but it also requires focused sustained effort. Many times our personality type may interfere with staying on course but if you want to be successful in the network marketing business, it's a must do requirement
It is critical for mlm success that continually get a grip on your own commitment to the process of success. Identify each exact task you'll be doing. Set up a regular schedule each day to do these tasks. Where will you be at a certain time? Who can you go to when you are confused? You want easy fast access to a user of your lead generation system who is getting it done with it right now.
To have mlm success you must almost instantly see for yourself by your own experience that your system works, or you'll find excuses to quit. Most of these mlm business tasks, you realistically cannot do them while you are trying to do other things. This is a bad habit doesn't give you a zero chance to succeed. If you're trying to do other things and talk with your prospect at the same time, the prospect will notice the distraction and you will turn them off. Network Marketing Opportunity...The Leadership Needed To Succeed
A network marketing opportunity requires exceptional and exclusive leaders.But, what is it that makes leaders exclusive? Can you possibly predict who will rise from pack to becoming a recognized leader – someone who is widely accepted as a expert in internet marketing? Probably the majority of people assume that when you examine at a leader, you see certainty and passion and enthusiasm. With those rudiments, a person inspires confidence in others. It's not analytical, but yet I'll bet you've noticed the same thing in your life experience. An individual with a high level of confidence is easy to follow. And what about the one without it? Starting A Business...Using Fear
Starting a business is a nightmare for many peopler. Many arrive at the realizatopm that when they run their own home business that their time is not theres to but to the prospects and people they must serve in order to be successful. Because of this, many are not willing to make the sacrifices necessary to achieve success in their own business.
Starting a business online or offline requires time but also money is the second most fearful hurdle to overcome for people who are starting a business themselves, knowing full well if they goof things up, it will be an issue for more than just them. The welfare of their family will still be a need even if the money is not there. There are many other things people starting a business they have to worry about when moving out on their own.One of the most important and pressing issues is health insurance for their family. They will have no where to turn if they are unable to make the monthly premiums. Most come to the conclusion that they will not be able to afford insurance that offers sufficient coverage based on their projected busines income.
Some people who are fortunate enough to also have a spouse that works can be covered under their insurance policy, but when a couple is starting a business together there will be nothing to fall back on if business isn’t successful as they hoped. Daily needs are also a concern for those thinking about starting their own business. Eating, car payments, rent or mortgage and utilities must be paid regardless of where the money comes from. Just obsessing over how they will pay all of their bills can keep some people holding on to their old job no matter how disgusted they are.
In starting a business, all these things must be considered as great concerns, by weighing the potential for success against the probability of failure, there are some who have faith enough to plan ahead and forge on. Unless they have a "purple cow" or service that is going to insure earning sufficent income from day one, they will have to plan for a transitional period from employee to business owner. To insure their financial security, it may be better to begin their business opportunity on a part-time basis, retaining their insurance and maintaining their level of income while putting in extra hours at their own business until they can build full time income.
Some times when working towards making this transition, people can grow discouraged at the progress which the new business is growing, but they need to remain realistic. When starting a business, the business probably will not grow any faster if they are working at it full time and should not allow the perceived problems at their old job short circuit our sound reasoning and cause them to make a bad decision of leaving before the new business can adequately support them and their family.
While “fear factor” should not be the deciding factor of in starting a home business or not, fear can be used as a motivation for them decide when it is financially wise to do so. Ignoring their feelings and plunging ahead may help them have a successful business sooner, it can also be disasterous. Using fear to better analyze the challenges and to develop strategies to meet those challenges can make fear their positive partner in the decision in starting a business instead of the deciding negative factor that prevents them from even attempt starting a business. The promise of it being easy is most likely where the scam idealism starts. It just grows after each failure experience until the definition of scam gets hooked to the MLM name.
